Jeremiahs Italian Ice Live Life to the Coolest Campaign Commercial Videos & Behind the Scenes Gallery
Contraversional statement—pre-production is more important than the production itself. Agree or disagree?
Here's why I think pre-production is arguably more important than the production itself. It’s that behind-the-scenes grind before we even touch a camera, but it’s the secret sauce that makes everything run smooth on set.
I just wrapped up a high-end commercial for Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, one of the fastest-growing franchises in the U.S.
And trust me, when you’re working with a brand like this, you just can’t afford to mess up.
That’s why we went all out in pre-production.
We didn’t just hop on a quick call and wing it.
We had over 7 deep-dive meetings, each lasting anywhere from 2 to 3 hours.
Yeah, that’s about 20 hours of solid prep work in calls alone, that's not counting the additional work done outside the meetings.
But it paid off BIG TIME!
I know it’s tempting to skip ahead to the fun stuff—filming, editing, all that jazz.
But here’s the deal: the more you plan, the better your shoot day goes.
No last-minute scrambling, no stress, just smooth sailing.
Having a solid team like my assistant producer, Serena, made it all come together.
She broke down all the notes from our meetings, kept everyone in the loop, and made sure we were all on the same page.
When you’ve got your crew locked in, and everyone knows their role, the shoot isn’t just stress-free—it’s actually fun.
You’re not rushing around, you’re just focused on creating killer content.
