A Behind the Scenes Look Our Production with Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and Skittles

Bringing Imagination to Life: Behind the Scenes of Our Jeremiah’s Italian Ice x Skittles Production

Creating content that seamlessly blends two powerhouse brands—Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and Skittles—is no small feat. Each brand has its own unique identity, from Jeremiah’s fun and family-friendly vibe to Skittles’ bold, colorful, and playful energy. So, when we took on the challenge of producing a campaign for their new Skittles Freeze-Dried Pops in partnership with Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, we knew this had to be more than just another product video campaign—it had to be an experience.

The Challenge: Blending Two Worlds into One

This production wasn’t just about filming delicious frozen treats. We had to carefully align two distinct brand identities while ensuring that every detail, from the number of visible Skittles to the vibrant color palette, met both brands’ strict creative guidelines.

One of the most exciting creative challenges was bringing a black-and-white dull world to life—transforming it into a vibrant, Skittles-filled dreamland up in the clouds. And we wanted to do it practically, not just with visual effects. That meant building a full-scale set, coordinating seamless real-time transitions, bring out a lot and I mean a lot of people, and then enhancing the magic with digital effects.

The Execution: Strategy First, Creativity Always

Pulling off this vision in a single-day production required intense pre-production planning. Our team, alongside the Jeremiah’s Italian Ice crew, worked through:
Storyboarding every single frame to ensure the 15-second final product was clear, engaging, and effective
Set design and prop planning, making sure we had everything needed for the real-time transformation
Talent coordination, ensuring smooth transitions between live-action performances and post-production effects

On the day of the shoot, the team executed flawlessly—from removing black backgrounds and swapping out tables in real-time to rolling in fake clouds and creating the perfect blue sky backdrop. The result? A visually stunning, high-energy, and brand-aligned commercial that delivers the fun, joy, and excitement of both Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and Skittles in a way that’s impossible to ignore.
